Lut Missinne is Professor of Dutch literature at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität (Münster). Zij received her doctoral degree from the University of Leuven (KU Leuven) with a study of literary conceptions in Flemish magazines published during the interwar period (Kunst en Leven 1994). She lectures in twentieth-century Dutch literature, translation history and translation studies. She also coordinates the Master’s programme ‘Niederländisch-Deutsch: Literarisches Übersetzen und Kulturtransfer’/Interdisziplinäre Niederlandistik.
Her research interests include the reception of Dutch literature in German translation and the role of cultural mediators between the Netherlands, Flanders and Germany. She currently focusses on travel literature, autobiographic literature and autofiction. Her most recent publication in this field appeared in 2013 under the title Oprecht gelogen.
