Cecilia Alvstad is Associate Professor of Spanish Language at the University of Oslo. She is the manager of the research area “Traveling Texts: Translation and Transnational Reception”, the project “Voices of Translation: Rewriting Literary Texts in Scandinavian Contexts” and the international research group “Voice in translation”. Alvstad’s research interests include translation of Latin American literature, voice and agency in translation, travel literature and children’s literature. Among her recent publications are: “The translation pact” in Language and Literature, ‘Voices in translation’ in Handbook of Translation Studies 4 (John Benjamins), ‘The transatlantic voyage as a translational process’ in Tales of Transit (ed.
