First TRACE/CLIV Research Day: Transferring New Ideas

TRACE/CLIV Research Day No.1: Transferring New Ideas will take place on Friday 24 May 2024. It is an initiative from the TRACE PhD students, who are interested in learning more about the projects of the junior and senior researchers at TRACE and CLIV, and would like to create a more informal platform to get to know the members of both research groups better and to exchange new ideas.

Both PhD students and senior researchers are invited to share their novel ideas in a short 10-minute talk. We are not looking for fully developed papers or completed projects. What’s something you’ve been thinking about in your research? What are you maybe struggling with? Do you have a proposal for a new (post-doc, junior, senior) project and would you like some feedback? All kinds of works-in-progress are welcome, on topics such as translation, literature, cultural transfer, from a national, international or transnational perspective. Each talk will be followed by a short Q&A session.

Practicalities: The Research Day will take place in Ghent (location t.b.a.) on Friday 24 May 2024 from 13.00 (tentatively) to 18.00, with a coffee break. The afternoon will end with a reception.

Please confirm your attendance and/or talk proposal by 15 March 2024 using the attached Google Form. Talk slots are rather limited, so please do not hesitate to respond swiftly. However, there are plenty of places for attendees, so come in great numbers and with great enthusiasm!

Organising Committee: Dominic James Bentley-Hussey, Anna Namestnikov, Elisa Robbe, Brecht De Groote & Désirée Schyns
