Cedric Van Dijck is an FWO postdoctoral fellow in English Literature at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. His research explores the ways in which wars and empires—and the translational, intercultural encounters these phenomena implied—shaped modernist literature. He is the author of Modernism, Material Culture and the First World War (Edinburgh UP, 2023), and a co-editor of the Edinburgh Companion to First World War Periodicals (Edinburgh UP, 2023, with M. Demoor and B. Van Puymbroeck) and The Intellectual Response to the First World War (Sussex, 2017, with S. Posman and M. Demoor).
